Merlot Ramat Arad No. 1 PC 2000 (Full Bodied Red) - Israel

Prime grapes were hand picked from selected vines in the Ramat Arad vineyards. Ramat Arad is situated on the border between the Judean Hills and the Negev Dessert, not far from the Dead Sea and enjoys a unique climate of cold, sometimes snowy winters, with hot summer days, cooler evenings and light morning mist which clears up by midday. The grapes were harvested at night and brought to the winery during the very early hours of the morning while temperature remains low. Fermentation took placed in the rotating vinifiers with full skin contact and rotated according to the Carmel programme, then left for extended maceration to soften the tannins for a smoother, full bodied wine. The wine was then drained into 20,000 litre stainless steel tanks; the wet skins were pneumatically pressed and the residual juice put into smaller stainless steel tanks. After fermentation the wine was racked into French Oak barrels and allowed to mature for about 12 months. The wine was filtered, bottled and then laid down to cool underground cellars before finally being released for distribution.

A smooth full bodied wine with complexed aromas and rich flavours of summer fruits and soft tannins.

Best served at between 16-18C (65F) as an accompaniment to red meats and fine cheeses.

Chardonnay Galil PC 2001 (Dry White) - Israel

The Chardonnay Private Collection is produced from grapes grown in at the Kerem Ben Zimra Estate, located in the Upper Galilee at an elevation of about 800 meters above sea level. The grapes were crushed and de-stemmed then put in static drainers for holding times of 4 to 10 hours at a low temperature of 10C (50F) in order to extract maximun free run juice. This was then drained, into temperature controlled stainless steel tanks where fermentation took place at 10-12&Deg;C. After fermentation a portion was transferred into Nevers and Alliers French Oak barrels of wood maturation and the balance was placed in underground stainless steel tanks for storage. The components were tasted and approved for blending, the wine was racked several times, fined, filtered, bottled and matured for a further period in cool underground cellar before being released for distribution. The result is a Chardonnay with the perfect balance between fruit and oak.

A crisp, lightly oaked, full bodied Chardonnay with good fruit characteristics and yellow/green tints in the glass.

This wine should be served chilled 8-10C (45-50F) as an accompaniment to light meats.

Lacryma Christi Vesuvio Bianco D.O.C 2002 (Fragrant Fruity Soft White) - Italy

At the foot of the most famous volcano is the world, respecting the tradition of cultivation of the ancient "caprettone" wineyards, which only her grapes rich in mineral salts originate which with modern technology and the knowledgeable use of the ancient farming methods gives this wine a unique characters of an intense straw colour and an enduring perfume of ripe fruits, yellow flowers and hints of apricot. It body expresses a well balanced taste with a soft and velvet effect on the palate, which makes it suitable for dishes with eggs and vegetables as a base.
The correct serving temperature is 12C

750ml e 12.5% vol.

Falanghina D.O.C Terre Tufacee 2002 (Fruity Perfume Dry White) - Italy

From his best wine yard called Terre Tufacee, the wine industry Pietraspaccata picks by hand the best bunch of grapes, which, wisely, made wine, with or light skinned Maceration and a slow tub sharpening originale this nectar with so sublime characteristics of ripe and velvet perfumes, with ripe fruit smells, with dry, hot mellow and extremely balanced taste of almond and honey.
Please serve at 12C of temperature
